Trading breaks and retests in a low volatility environment is very difficult. It is better to trade triangles/compressions around KLs even though that means buying or selling directly into the level.

Whether it’s OK to buy or sell directly into a level depends on how much trade there has been around the level. If the level has been traded multiple times during the session, then it has served its purpose to maximise trade. If a KL has not yet traded in the session, don’t sell or buy into it.
