Going on-Tilt is the behaviour that sits between and consistent profitability; my trading plan is excellent but I trade a whole lot of other crap as well as the plan. When I go over my trading day and I watch videos of the PA I see that often I didn’t make a mistake – but I thought and felt (more importantly) that I did – and then all hell breaks
The odd thing is that I feel like I am doing the right thing. I think that the best thing I can do is trade aggressively to get my money back.
In Hoffman terms, this is a pattern (I believe that patterns are somatic markers bein triggered) and the clue is that the behaviour feels right at the time, and it is compulsiver. Like almostall patterns, it doesn’t lead to a good outcome because it’s maladaptive i.e. it was formed a long time ago, woprked back then but is no longer appropriate – or put simply – the kindergarten kid has taken over the asylum.
