I loved this film. I sat in the cinema even though it was a beautiful sunny day as I knew I had to watch it.
It was agonising to sit through –
But then I remembered Rupert Spira and thougt to myself ‘this is just a projection of pixels on a screen and Alex is very much alive‘ and immediately ALL the sympathetic responses stopped.
I don’t want to go through my whole life like this because I love films, art, theatre and dance, but it showed me something very powerful – a switch of perception from illusion to truth switches off the alarm system instantly. If I can do this here, I can do it in trading.
THOUGHT PROCESS: “But trading is real and the film isn’t so they are not the same, is the question that comes to mind. Yes, that is true but the fear in trading is not a truthful response but one built on illusion – that trading threatens my survival. The fear of losing or missing out in trading is no more appropriate and useful that fear of heights would be for Alex, the protagonist of the film.“
